Brisbane Roar v Perth Glory Saturday 26th November, 6.45pm

Be sure to Roar your team into the record books as Brisbane aim to become the ultimate sporting invincibles!

Saturday night sees Brisbane Roar going all out to make history at Suncorp Stadium.

Last week's win in Newcastle equalled the 74-year-old record of 35 unbeaten games set by NSW Rugby League club Eastern Suburbs in the late 1930s. Avoiding defeat this weekend will see the Roar surpass that achievement and become the most unbeatable sporting club that Australia has ever seen.

If you needed extra motivation to get along and watch this fantastically exciting side play, surely this is it. It's not every day you get to witness history in the making, so be there, and give your players the support they need to ensure they don't slip up so close to achieving this incredible milestone!

Of course, breaking records is all well and good, but equally pressing is the need for Roar to keep their lead at the top of the ladder.

After a couple of less-than-impressive draws, the champions got back to winning ways last Saturday with a come-from-behind victory over Newcastle Jets. One down at half-time against the side who, at the time, were lying in second spot, Brisbane simply upped their game in the second period and turned the match on its head.

The win sent out a strong message to the rest of the Hyundai A-League - this team won't make it easy for others to catch them. Now, with a six-point lead at the summit, they will be looking for a home game with Perth Glory as the chance to push on and get another victory.

But Glory last week proved themselves to be a hard side to beat. Despite being on a potentially morale-sapping winless run that now stands at four games, the team from Western Australia showed just how much spirit there is in their camp by pulling back a two-goal deficit at Etihad Stadium and coming away with a very creditable draw against Melbourne Victory.

A Carlos Hernandez penalty and Danny Allsopp's close-range effort looked like they were set to condemn the visitors to a fourth straight loss but a superb free-kick from Andrezinho and a Shane Smeltz header saw Glory leave with a very valuable point.

Not only that, but they achieved it despite playing the entire second half with just ten men, after Liam Miller was sent off just before the interval. If ever there was an example of Guts and Glory, it was how the team performed in the second-half against Victory.

As well as missing Miller for the trip to the Champions, Glory will also likely still be without Travis Dodd for this clash.

Suncorp Stadium is the place to be on Sunday, as Brisbane Roar set about taking sporting invincibility to a whole new level. Be there to cheer your side towards the record books and, if they achieve it, to salute an incredible effort.

Perth will be keen to spoil the party as they look to get their own season back on track, so make as much noise as you can and create the kind of atmosphere that will spur Roar on to a seminal win!
