Melbourne Victory have signed two highly rated prospects in Qantas Young Socceroo defender Jason Geria and Victorian midfielder Jordan Brown.

Geria, 19, has been part of numerous Qantas Young Socceroos squads, including the recent AFC qualifiers, and joins Victory from the Brisbane Roar National Youth League team, where he was captain. While Brown, 16, has been playing for the Australian Institute of Sport in the same competition.

Geria was born in Canberra and also played with the AIS before joining Brisbane at the start of the 2011/12 Youth League season.

With both youngsters offered three-year deals, Victory boss Ange Postecoglou says the pair represent the future of the club.

“We are very happy to be welcoming these boys into the Melbourne Victory family and we believe they have the qualities, both on and off the pitch, to be an integral part of our club's future,” Postecoglou said.

“There is no doubt that they are both talented youngsters and we are definitely looking forward to seeing them develop and grow into future leaders of this club.”
