Western Sydney Wanderers have parted ways with forward Dario Vidosic with the marquee player released to pursue an overseas opportunity.
It is understood the 29-year-old is set to sign with Chinese Super League club Liaoning Whowin.
Vidosic joined the club in September 2015 and will be particularly remembered for his knack of scoring on big occasions with two Sydney Derby goals as well as the winner in the famous 5-4 win over Brisbane in the semi-final.
Signed from FC Sion in Switzerland, Vidosic made 29 appearances for the Red & Black in the Hyundai A-League and Westfield FFA Cup, scoring four goals.
Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said Vidosic will be remembered.
“Dario’s winner in the semi-final will remain an iconic image in the history of the Western Sydney Wanderers. Everyone at the club wishes him well for his move to China” said Tsatsimas.
