Newcastle Jets have today confirmed that the club has finalised a mutual contract termination with 22-year-old midfielder Mitch Cooper.
Cooper joined the Jets in 2012 from the now defunct Gold Coast United.
Cooper, who was born in Vanuatu, represented the Club 33 times in the Hyundai A-League, scoring one goal.
The former Australian U17 and U20 international said: “I appreciate everything that the Club has done for me since I arrived from Queensland. The supporters and staff have been excellent to me, so I wish everyone all the best.”
The Jets are set to bolster their squad in the January transfer window with former Wanderers striker Mark Bridge reportedly in the club's sights.
