Melbourne Victory have confirmed defender Daniel Georgievski will leave the club at the end of the season to join rival Hyundai A-League club Newcastle Jets.
Victory released a statement on Thursday night confirming the 29-year-old will play out the remainder of the season at Victory before departing the club.
"We accept Daniel's decision, but our collective focus is what we can achieve together this season," said Victory head coach Kevin Muscat.
Georgievski, a Macedonian international, has made 79 appearances for Victory in all competitions since arriving at the club for the start of the 2014/15 Season.The defender had earlier on Thursday revealed he was leaving the club via a post on his Instagram account.
