Sydney FC, Wanderers in action this week

Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers are in action this week playing friendlies across Sydney as they prepare for the Westfield FFA Cup and new Hyundai A-League season.

Sydney FC will contest their annual pre-season clash against Macarthur Rams tomorrow (Thursday 30 July). 

It's part of the club's preparations for Hyundai A-League Season 11 and their Westfield FFA Cup clash away to Sorrento in WA on August 5.

Meanwhile, cross-town rivals Western Sydney Wanderers will fine-tune their A-League and FFA Cup preparations as they head to Popondetta Park on Thursday night to face Mt Druitt Town Rangers.

New Wanderers signing Federico Piovaccari will arrive in Australia on Thursday to be introduced to the crowd at the game. Due to flying in that day he will not participate in the match.

Wanderers host Brisbane Roar in the Westfield FFA Cup on August 11.

And Newcastle Jets are on tour in country NSW and play a game on Friday night in Armidale. It is an intra-club training match at Consett Davis Fields at Sport UNE. Admission is free. 

The Jets host Perth Glory on August 11 in the FFA Cup.
