It's highly unlikely Milos Dimitrijevic will be back with Sydney FC as the club moves on from stalled negotiations with the Serbian midfielder.
It's understood Sydney FC made an offer to the 31-year-old in recent weeks but the club didn't hear back by the deadline.
The club clearly lost patience with Dimitrijevic who is currently back in Europe with his family as he assesses his next career move.
“We’re communicating, we’re still talking with him,” Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold said after Tuesday’s friendly with Chelsea.
“Milos was our player of the year this year so our intentions are to continually talk with him.
“We’ve got a long off-season in the A-League and we’ll see how it goes. The decision pretty much lays with Milos.”
Dimitrijevic was named Players’ Player of the Year and Members’ Player of the Year for this season at Sydney FC.
The Sky Blues have now moved on as they look to shape their squad ahead of Season 11 of the Hyundai A-League. The club today announced their retained player list.

It comes just a day after almost shocking the EPL champions Chelsea at ANZ Stadium, losing 1-0 on Tuesday night.
Last Saturday night, the grand final runners up lost 1-0 to Spurs in a friendly at the same venue.
