Sydney Derby sold-out!

Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers will play in front of a full house at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night following news the Sydney Derby has sold out for the fourth consecutive time.

More than 40,000 fans are expected to attend the Round 3 clash after supporters exhausted all available tickets early this morning.

It will also be the fourth time in a row a crowd of more than 40 thousand has graced the stadium for this fixture. (See below)

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata said:  “This is the biggest game in town and it’s hard to remember any club game between two sides in Sydney ever being this popular.

“We have two passionate and very vocal sets of supporters which makes it a great occasion, while the football and drama on the field is always fantastic too.

“Everyone is looking forward to Saturday night and watching an exciting and exhilarating game of football amongst a huge crowd.

“We want all supporters to support their team and enjoy the occasion amongst their fellow Sydneysiders in a safe and family friendly environment.”

Wanderers skipper Nikolai Topor-Stanley and Sydney FC captain Alex Brosque chase the ball in last season's Round 2 Sydney Derby.

With all remaining available tickets now gone Sydney FC Memberships are still on sale for anyone who wants to attend the game.

“The only way you will get to see the game now is to buy a Sydney FC Membership,” added Pignata.

The gates at Allianz Stadium open at 6pm, with the match kicking off at 7.30pm, and police have urged fans to allow extra time arriving to the ground as security will be conducting bag checks upon entry to the stadium.

All ticket-holders are also reminded that travel to and from the match on public transport is included, free of charge, as part of the integrated ticket offer.

Those driving to the stadium are advised that special event clearways will be in place in Moore Park and surrounding areas, between 3pm and 11pm, so check signs before parking as vehicles will be towed and fees apply.
