Stats analysis: Sydney FC set Hyundai A-League record in Jets draw

They were forced to dig deep but Sydney FC’s thrilling come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Newcastle Jets on Wednesday night saw the Sky Blues notch an impressive record.

Graham Arnold’s side twice fought back from a goal down with Bobo netting the equaliser just three minutes from time in a thrilling encounter.

The result was Sydney’s 24th consecutive match at home without defeat, eclipsing the previous record of 23 set by Ange Postecoglou’s Brisbane Roar.

During that run, the Sky Blues have notched an incredible 18 wins and six draws.
