Reds have landed

Adelaide United arrived in Tashkent on Monday morning ahead of Wednesday night's decisive AFC Champions League semi-final second leg against Bunyodkor.

Touching down just after 1am local time, the players headed straight to the team hotel to recuperate before their first training session in the afternoon.

Coach Aurelio Vidmar said the journey was a taxing one, but that everyone was in good spirits and focused on getting the result needed for the Reds to progress to the final.

"It has been a long flight, probably one of the longest so far," Vidmar said.

"The boys will have nice rest now before we train late this afternoon."

Eugene Galekovic's groin strain is the only injury concern for the visitors heading into the match and Vidmar will wait until the last minute for the goalkeeper to prove his fitness.

The 27-year-old did not train during the squad's stopover in Singapore and has been receiving round the clock treatment from the club's medical staff.

After winning the first leg 3-0 at Hindmarsh Stadium, United are warm favourites to progress to the final.
