Perth Glory v Western United FC: match preview

The stakes are huge for both Perth Glory and Western United FC heading into the first match of a Wednesday double-header in the Hyundai A-League.

Adelaide United's draw against Melbourne City on Tuesday night has booked Glory's spot in the top six but Mark Rudan's side have work to do to secure finals football.

United are three points behind the sixth-place Reds but have three matches still to play, including this one against Glory at Bankwest Stadium.

If they pick up three points in their final three games, United will qualify for the Finals Series in their maiden Hyundai A-League campaign.

These sides head into this one in contrasting form, with Glory coming off a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Melbourne Victory, while United slammed in five goals in their most recent outing, a 5-3 triumph over the Wanderers.

Who'll come out on top in this intriguing clash in Sydney's west?
