Perth Glory have appointed Sydney FC legend Terry McFlynn as the club's Westfield W-League and Academy Manager.
McFlynn will work alongside the likes of Steven McGarry, Richard Garcia and Bobby Despotovski in the club's academy and Westfield W-League space.
It comes after the 38-year-old's exit from Sydney FC in June, the club for whom he gave 14 years of service, firstly as a two-time Championship winning player, then general manager of player welfare and lastly in the role of general manager of football operations.
"I spoke to [Perth Glory Football Director] Jacob [Burns] a few months ago and he outlined the direction the club is going in and I immediately wanted to be a part of that," McFlynn told the club website.
"I have family here in the west, so I've spent a lot of time here and now it's a new home for me.
"Everyone at the club has made me feel very welcome and there are definitely exciting times ahead."
"It's a huge coup for us to have brought someone of Terry's calibre on board," added Burns.
"He enjoyed great success both as a player and during his time as Sydney FC's Football Director and his appointment is a key part of our plan to take our W-League and two-star academy operations to the next level.
"We are assembling a team,of experienced, like-minded people who will all add value to help drive improvement across the board."
