NAB Young Footballer of the Year Nominee - Thomas Deng
Football Federation Australia (FFA) and NAB, together with Melbourne Victory, are proud to announce Thomas Deng as the final nominee for the Hyundai A-League, NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2017/18 Award.
Deng, who scored a stunning volley for Victory in their round 25 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers FC at AAMI Park, joins Bruce Kamau and Daniel Arzani (both Melbourne City FC), Daniel De Silva (Central Coast Mariners), Joseph Champness (Newcastle Jets), and Christopher Ikonomidis (Western Sydney Wanderers FC), as a nominee for the prestigious Award.
While Deng has performed consistently this campaign, towards the completion of the regular season he proved himself to be an integral member of Melbourne’s squad as they secured their sixth consecutive Hyundai A-League Finals Series berth.
Deng started every match for Victory in the March/April nomination window, helping Kevin Muscat’s men to an impressive four wins from six games.
