Matchweek 4 preview: Perth Glory v Adelaide United

Perth Glory finally get their A-League 2020/21 campaign under way against in-form Adelaide United on Wednesday.

Bruno Fornaroli, Diego Castro and company are preparing to run out in a competitive game for the first time in 48 days, after their AFC Asian Champions League campaign came to a close on December 3.

Richard Garcia’s new-look team face off against Carl Veart’s Reds, who impressed in a 2-0 triumph over Melbourne City last time out on January 3, following a 0-0 draw in the Season 2020/21 curtain raiser against Western United.

Adelaide are undefeated in all seven A-League games played under Veart’s stewardship, and Glory must be weary of the injection of pace from the youngsters on the Reds bench, such as Mohamed Toure, whose substitute cameo inspired the win against City.
