Matchweek 4 preview: Newcastle Jets v Macarthur FC
Newcastle Jets are out to reverse their fortunes and get their A-League campaign up and running Sunday afternoon's clash with Macarthur FC.
The Hunter Valley club have been downed by rivals Central Coast Mariners (1-0) and Western Sydney Wanderers (2-1) in their opening two fixtures of the campaign.
On Sunday the Jets are looking to avoid back to back defeats at home for the first time since December 2018, after their loss to the Wanderers on January 8.
Macarthur made a dream start to A-League life by accounting for the Wanderers 2-1 on December 30, 2020, before going down 2-1 to Central Coast Mariners on January 3 and securing a comeback 1-1 draw with Wellington Phoenix on January 9.
