Jets' super-sub Champness with late winner in Brisbane

Newcastle Jets substitute Joey Champness hit a late winner as Ernie Merrick's high-flyers defeated Brisbane Roar FC 1-0 at Suncorp on Saturday.

Both keepers were in fine form throughout an entertaining clash in humid conditions, but it was the former Roar youth team striker who broke Brisbane hearts with a lovely finish after 79 minutes.
