Hyundai A-League Performers of the Week: Round 26

With their season on the line, Western Sydney Wanderers produced arguably their best performance of the season to thump Brisbane Roar 3-0 on Saturday night. 

The victory kept their Finals Series hopes alive and it's also been rewarded with an incredible five players named among the Performers of the Week for Round 26.  

So who were the best -performing players across the Hyundai A-League according to Opta Data?

Vedran Janjetovic (Wanderers) - Helped the Wanderers in their three-goal victory over Brisbane Roar by securing a clean sheet, registering four saves for the match.

DEFENDERS

Scott Jamieson (City) - The left-back helped  City to a clean sheet as well and claimed an assist for Bruno Fornaroli's winner against the Mariners.

Bart Schenkeveld (City) -  The Dutchman completed a remarkable 93% of his 83 passes against the Roar.

Michael Jakobsen (City) - He attempted more passes than any other player during this round of games (86) and registered six clearances for City.

Josh Risdon (Wanderers)  - Picked up a clean sheet and created four chances in the match versus Brisbane Roar - the most of any defender during this round of matches.

MIDFIELDERS

Diego Castro (Glory) -  Got on the scoresheet from the spot and played a role in his side's second goal. He also drew four fouls against the Jets. 

Luke Brattan (City) - Created a team-high three scoring chances and registered more touches than anyone else (105).

Marcelo Carrusca (Wanderers) - Attempted three shots, hit the target once and created three chances.

Chris Ikonomidis (Wanderers) - Recorded seven shots against the Roar and got on the scoresheet in Wanderers' 3-0 win.

ATTACKERS

Bobo (Sydney FC) - The Sydney striker was directly involved in all three of his side's goals (two scored and one assist) -his two goals came from his only two attempts in the game.

Oriol Riera (Wanderers) - The Wanderers attacker bagged a brace against the Roar, with his 10 attempts the most of any player in a single fixture this season.
