Foxe to miss again

Unlucky Perth Glory defender Hayden Foxe has been ruled out of the next three games after undergoing a minor procedure to remove a lump from his left leg.

The former Socceroo had already missed the past two matches for the Glory with a hamstring strain and after a scan revealed a lump in his other leg, medical staff decided there was little option but to operate.

"I am frustrated to again only be watching and not playing but I-ve put my faith in the medical staff and I-m confident that I will be back very soon," said Foxe.

"The procedure was only a relatively minor thing and I-ll rest up for the next few days before continuing my rehab," Foxe said.

"I-ll do everything I can to support the boys and will be watching with plenty of interest when they go up to Queensland and snatch the three points from the Roar."

Glory coach Dave Mitchell is frustrated that Foxe has been cursed by some shocking luck with injury.

"Foxey is desperate to be playing and is disappointed that things have compounded to stop him being out on the pitch but we-re supporting him and looking forward to having him available again in the near future, " he said.

"Hayden-s upbeat attitude continues to make a positive impact in the change rooms and his experience and knowledge of the game is invaluable on and off the pitch."
