Former Phoenix starlet Singh makes Bayern Munich debut against Arsenal
Former Wellington Phoenix starlet Sarpreet Singh has made his senior debut for German giants Bayern Munich on Thursday.
Singh, who joined the Bundesliga champions on a three-year deal earlier this month, played the second half of their International Champions Cup opener against Arsenal.
The 20-year-old ran out alongside the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the pre-season tournaement, with Bayern conceding late on to lose 2-1.
Bayern’s goal came via the head of Lewandowski, with Singh involved in some of the impressive lead-up play, while he was first on hand to congratulate the Polish striker.
