Former Hyundai A-League star back at EPL giant

Former Brisbane Roar midfielder Luke Brattan has returned to Manchester City two weeks before his Bolton Wanderers loan deal was set to end.

Brattan, 25, who failed to make a senior appearance for Bolton during two months at the Championship club, signed for City in October after terminating his contract with the Roar.

It has been widely speculated that the three-time Hyundai A-League champion will be sent to Melbourne City - at least on loan, with the Bundoora-based club owned by City Football Group - the parent company of Premier League giants Manchester City.

In six seasons with Brisbane, Brattan played 91 games, scoring three goals and winning two premierships and three championships.
