Experienced midfielder Neil Kilkenny has left Melbourne City following the mutual termination of his contract.
A former Australia international, Kilkenny was named City's Player of the Year following an impressive first Hyundai A-League campaign in 2016/17.
But the 32-year-old has found himself out of favour under new boss Warren Joyce, managing only three substitute appearances this season.
The ex-Birmingham, Leeds United and Bristol City player made 28 league appearances in total following his switch from Preston North End.
"We would like to thank Neil for his contribution to our Club and wish him and his family all the very best," City wrote in a statement.
Kilkenny has won 14 caps for the Caltex Socceroos and was a member of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup squad.
