Elder Park to become ‘Live Site’ for ACL Final
A giant screen at Elder Park will show both of Adelaide United’s matches in the AFC Champions League Final against Japan’s Gamba Osaka LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
A giant screen at Elder Park will show the 2nd leg of the AFC Champions League Final between Adelaide United and Gamba Osaka LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
Thousands of supporters turned up to Elder Park to witness the 1st leg from Osaka and now, thanks to the South Australian State Government and Adelaide City Council plus FOX SPORTS and the South Australian Jockey Club, Reds fans can also watch the 2nd leg from Hindmarsh Stadium at the official 'Go Reds Live Site-.
Minister for Sport and Recreation, the Honourable Michael Wright, said the initiative would give all South Australians the chance to get behind United in its attempt to become the champion club of Asia.
“South Australians have every reason to be thrilled and proud of their efforts so far, and I-d encourage all soccer fans to come out to Elder Park to watch the final steps in United-s quest for glory,” Mr Wright said.
“It-ll be great for thousands of fans to watch both matches in a great family-friendly atmosphere.”
With a full house of 17,000 expected at Hindmarsh Stadium for the match, Elder Park provides fans who did not manage to get a ticket to the game with the ideal surroundings to support The Reds.
Wednesday night's match kicks off at 7.30pm (ACDT). Elder Park is located next to the Festival Theatre along the Torrens River on King William Road.
