Bautheac wins Goal of the Season
Fans have voted Eric Bauthéac’s bicycle kick against Central Coast Mariners the Goal of the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season.
Former Brisbane Roar attacker Bauthéac delivered a jaw-dropping overhead to open the scoring in the dramatic 5-3 win against the Mariners in February.
It has proved a popular strike. The former Ligue 1 talent also took out February's Goal of the Month voting and the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Year gong at May's Dolan Warren Awards for his acrobatic effort.
Bautheac’s effort won with 40% of the vote, with David Williams' rocket for Wellington Phoenix against Newcastle Jets, and Dylan Wenzel-Halls' screamer for Brisbane against Western Sydney Wanderers earning second and third spot with 19% and 13% of the vote respectively.
Fans were given the chance to vote for their favourite goal from the 2018/19 Season in a poll launched at the beginning of the month.
