Central Coast Mariners coach Graham Arnold will watch the F3 derby from the stands as he serves a one-match touchline ban, following his outburst at referee Jarred Gillett in the game against Melbourne Victory.
With his team 1-0 down in the first half, the Mariners boss was ordered off the bench following a complaint from the fourth official, and forced to watch his team-s comeback from the stands at Launceston-s Aurura Stadium.
The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) found Arnold used "offensive, insulting or abusive language and/ or gestures to a match official" and recommended a one-match ban, meaning he will be unable to communicate with his players when they face Newcastle at Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday.
Arnold apologised after the game saying it was “mainly down to frustration at our poor performance in the first half”.
