Archie set to return for Victory this season!

Archie Thompson is set to return to the Hyundai A-League in the new year after it was confirmed an arthroscopy yesterday revealed a medial ligament injury only, with recovery typically 8-12 weeks.

In positive news, it was determined that repair was required for his medial ligament.

This type of injury usually has a recovery period of 8-12 weeks. Thompson is in good spirits and will commence rehabilitation immediately, with a view to returning to football as quickly as possible.

In news that will come to a relief to fans of the Big V and the striker's many admirers across the country, the club has announced that as a result of the injury suffered in Tuesday night’s FFA Cup Quarter Final against Adelaide United at AAMI Park, the injury wasn't as serious as first feared.
